The restaurant features a Key West/ Caribbean theme with an air-conditioned indoor dining area and a stunning outside dining deck. Part of the charm of the dining deck is an incredible view of Clearwater Pass with great sunsets and frequent dolphin sightings.
The interior is a pleasant surprise too, with original wall murals painted by Johnny Schunck, puka fans, and unique belt-driven spade shaped ceiling fans.
Behind the bar is the rum and tequila boat. An authentic replica of a small sailboat, this “cooler” houses 40 rums and 40 tequilas as well as an assortment of bottled beers.
From the fish prints on the floors to the fish and shell tiles in the bathrooms to the island-style music, this restaurant says “island life is here.”
The General Manager is no stranger to fine food. Cheryl D’Aloia’s is an executive chef and most recently director of food and beverage services for upscale country clubs and corporate conference centers. Cheryl brings many years of specialty theme and fine dining experience to Jimmys Fish House.
This experience will shine through at Taste of Clearwater and other local 'food events', where the restaurant will feature one of their signature appetizers, Bonsai Shrimp. Medium-sized shrimp fried to a golden crisp and tossed with a specially-prepared Thai peanut sauce and then served over a bed of oriental cellophane-bean-thread noodles, this dish is not to be forgotten.
“Caribbean meets the Orient with this shrimp dish that keeps you coming back for more,” says Rick Johnston. “One taste and you’re hooked.”
